          Electronics Engineering Technology Certificate Program 


The following Technician Certificate courses are open for registration. These professional courses are designed to give the student an entry level skills needed in Electronics and Communications, Electrical Circuits, Digital Fundamentals, Technical Mathematics, and Computer Networks. Upon registration, student receives course syllabus and faculty supervisor is assigned. Textbook, laboratory manual, and Laboratory Kit are made available for students to purchase. Each student will have access to faculty supervisor email address as well as office phone number for communication. The duration for each course is 12 weeks. Medium of communication with course supervisors will be internet (email, skype), and phone ( line/cell). Upon successful completion of all courses, student will receive a certificate in Electronics Engineering Technology from Blassys International University, North Carolina, United States of America. This certificate program is designed to prepare the student for entry level technician position in industry, and also may continue their studies in AAS or B-Tech degree program.

 Certificate Course Descriptions

 EET 140 DC Circuit Analysis  -   (item #140)
 This course introduces the student to electrical circuit analysis that is focused on Direct Current (DC). Topics covered include: Unit of Measurements, Symbols, Resistance, Voltage/Current, Ohms Law/Power/Energy, Series Circuits, Parallel Circuits, Series-Parallel Circuits, Network Theorems, Capacitors, Inductors, and Magnetic Circuits. Laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Power Supply, and Digital-Multimeter. Information about where to purchase equipment is provided to student. 

The textbook and laboratory manual for EET 140 is also use for EET 230 course.

MATH 170 College Algebra - (item #170)
This course provides the student with technical mathematics required to build the foundation for all other Engineering Technology courses. Topics covered include: Number Notation and Operations, Algebra Fundamentals, Solving Eguations, Quantities and Units of Measurement, Applying Mathematics to Electrical Circuits, Fractions, Relations and Functions, Graphs and Graphing Techniques, Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, Logarithmic and Exponential Functions, Applications of  Logarithmic and Exponential Equations to Electronic Concepts, Angles and Triangles, Vectors and Phasors, and Computer Number Systems.

EET 230 AC Circuit Analysis - (item # 230)
The Electric Circuits II course focuses on Alternating Current (AC) as applied to Electrical Circuits. Topics covered include: Sinusoidal Alternating Waveforms, Basic Elements and Phasors, Series and Parallel ac Circuits, Series and Parallel ac Networks, Network Theorems (ac), Power (ac), Resonance, Decibels, Filters, and Transformers. Laboratory kit is required for all students. 

Textbook and Laboratory Manual for EET 140 is also use for EET 230.

EET 240 Electronic Circuits - (item # 240)
This course provides the student with the foundation in Electronics and Communications technology. Topics covered include: Transmission of information, Amplitude and Frequency Modulations, Solid-State Principles, Diodes and Applications, Bipolar Junction Transistors, Amplifiers, Field -Effect Transistors, Operational Amplifiers, Oscillators, Solid-State Switching Circuits, and Thyristors. Laboratory kit is required for all students.

EET 275 Digital Fundamentals & Systems - (item # 275)
This course is designed to introduce students to topics such as: Number Systems, Logic Gates, Boolean Algebra and Logic Simplification, Combinational Logic, Functions of combinational Logic, Flip-Flops and Related Devices, Counters, Shift Registers, Introduction to Microprocessors, and Troubleshooting. Laboratory kit is required for all students.

This course introduces the student to data communications and computer networks. Topics covered include: Introduction to Computer Networks and Data Communications, Data and Signals, Media, Modems, Multiplexing, Error Detection and Control, Internetworking, Software and Support Systems, Metropolitan Area Networks/Wide Area Networks, The Internet, Telecommunications Systems, and Network Security.
